Hi, I'm a male new to the board (obviously) but I was curious how other men buy their pantyhose. I would order from the internet, but I refuse to get a credit card after seeing what debt has done to family.
I've considered going into stores late at night (Meijer, Wal-Mart) and getting them then at the self-scan checkout line. But I'm scared that I'd be caught by someone I know. I've also considered driving farther away late at night, but with gas what it is... any suggestions would be appreciated. |

| I have two suggestions. The first is just go and buy them. I don’t wear pantyhose myself but I buy them all the time for my wife. I never feel weird about it, probably because I am not buying them for myself. But anyway who cares. No one ever looks at me twice when I buy pantyhose. The other suggestion I have is you can buy Visa gift cards that work just like credit cards. The have a full credit card number on them. They even have that three digit number on the back that you need to order things online. You can get them at your bank in any dollar amount that you want. I think I have even seen them at Wal-Mart and the local grocery store. |

| I forgot to mention check cards or debit cards as they are also called. You use them like a credit card but the money comes out of your checking account. Many people use them instead of writing checks. Just talk to the tellers at your bank. Who should be in skirts & hose but are probably in khaki pants, but that’s for another topic. |

You should probably get over your fear of being found out and just buy them.
I tried that and It worked out fairly well. I'm just not big on buying clothing mainly, so I rarely buy new pantyhose. I have the same two or three pairs for 6 months at a time hahah.
Eventually if we all just stop hiding the whole issue it will become a normal piece of fashion for men. Nylon feels awesome, its only fair we get to enjoy it just as much as women do. |

| I've been buying pantyhose for a long time and no one notices Just put them in your basket with any other things your buying and no one cares. If you go to a place like Victorias secret the girls will help you pick them out as they useually think your getting them for your lady.I've gotten laid from some of them when they found out they were for me Try it sometime you'll probly get lucky |

| If you don't have one already, try opening a Paypal account. Ebay has tons of hose and Paypal makes it all very discrete. |

| I sometimes go to the local supermarket to by hose along with other things. I go late and use the self checkout. The other night I was in the pantyhose Isle and one of the ladies that monitiors the self check saw me and came up and asked if I was buying hose for a girl friend someone else. I told her someone else. She smiled and asked who? I told her maybe I'd tell over a drink or something. She gave me her number |

I agree with the others, just buy the pantyhose and no one really cares. I used to get mine at the supermarket or drug store, and believe me the clerks have better things to do than wonder why you're buying it.
These days I'll buy it in department stores or online (sometimes cheaper, always better selection) and the clerks don't even give me a second look. If you're nervous, what I used to do is write down what I want on a piece of paper and then go into the store as if I was picking it up for my wife or girlfriend. That way you can ask a clerk for help if you want.
If you haven't already, try it, you might find it's a tremendous turn-on to buy pantyhose yourself. |

| I've found the lady friend excuse at the department store to work great. I've actually gotten hooked up with two different ladies at the stores |

And that way the ladies you hook up with already know you like pantyhose, or at least don't mind it. Some guys say they hate pantyhose, but if you're willing to buy it for "someone" then at least they already know you don't dislike it. Makes for an easier time explaining things later on maybe.
Have you eventually told any salesladies that you're buying them for yourself? |

I've noticed that the sales clerks in department store hosiery areas are frequently gorgeous young women, and it's always fun to get their help to make sure I'm getting the right type of pantyhose.
I've gotten compliments on my choice of hosiery, and one clerk told me "She's going to love this kind..." referring to Donna Karan Sheer Satin pantyhose. Also Calvin Klein sheer pantyhose, although there are so many varieties it's difficult to keep it all straight.
I've never ended up having sex with any of the clerks though - maybe I should be more open about my, um, interest in their products? |
